SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Kidnapping. Rape. Murder. Violent acts that victims said came from one man. Monday, Taney County prosecutors filed five charges against Sean Roberson, including assault and murder. They said Roberson cut and strangled Branson teenager Andros Valentin-Vargas. A week before Valentin-Vargas died, Springfield police focused on Roberson for kidnapping and rape. As detectives investigated that case, Branson police had a case of their own that involved Roberson: murder.

LAMAR, Mo. -- The Barton County prosecuting attorney late Friday afternoon charged a man for the murder of a 12-year-old girl from Golden City.   Adriaunna Horton's body was found Wednesday afternoon after she was kidnapped on Monday afternoon.  At a news conference on Friday afternoon, law enforcement officials wouldn't say how Adriaunna died or talk about other evidence around her body or from the autopsy. Bobby D. Bourne Jr., 34, of Lamar is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree statutory rape, forcible rape and kidnapping.  Adriaunna was playing at Hazel's Park near her home in Golden City with friends and a sister after her first day of school.  Her father says Bourne used to work for him and Adriaunna was acquainted with him and his daughter.  The other children said Bourne asked Adriaunna to get in his car to help him look for his daughter.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo -- It's been 38 days since police issued an amber alert in Springfield for two missing children. Those children were found safe, but so far there have been no arrests, and police say there is nothing new in the hunt for the kidnapper. Police refuse to answer our questions, but we did speak to the Greene County Prosecutor about what he's waiting for. The prosecutor tells KSPR News the longer this drags on, the tougher it becomes to convict the person who took the children.
