SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Leaders of the Ozark Empire Fair announced one of the concerts for this year's fair and also said it will start on Thursday this year instead of the traditional last Friday of July. SEDALIA, Mo. - If you're a country music fan, Tuesday is your day. Tickets go on sale for this year's concert line-up at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Country stars Chris Cagle, Gary Allan, The Oak Ridge Boys and Toby Keith will play at this years fair. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or by calling 1-800-796-6776. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - We're expecting a major donation and concert announcement later this morning. Dwight Glenn Productions with Thompson Pontiac Cadillac and Tag Magazine have scheduled a news conference at downtown Springfield's Gillioz Theatre. It's happening at 10 Monday morning. Doug Pitt will be on hand representing Care to Learn . Care to Learn is dedicated to helping children get back into the classroom who have issues with health, hunger, or hygiene.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Springfield police offficers had responded to reports of drug use at the Life in Color event where a concertgoer collapsed and later died Thursday, according to a media release on the Springfield Police Department website. According to the report, which was taken at 601 E. St. Louis Street -- the address of the Shrine Mosque, where the event was taking place -- several people were hospitalized and one person died. The death occurred between 9:30 p.m. and 10:19 p.m. Thursday, as indicated by the police report.

BUFFALO, Missouri -- A Buffalo, MO family confirms to KSPR News Lynn Phillips, 23, collapsed at the Shrine Mosque in Springfield, MO and died later at a hospital Thursday night. Lynn's father owns Phillips and Sons Tire Service in Buffalo. KSPR's Lauren Pozen spoke to Phillips brother, Lee. He says," I don't see how a 23 year-old kid dies without something going on. " That is the question family and friends of Lynn are left with in the wake of his death. Phillips says his brother was friendly to everyone, caring and always fighting for the underdog.

A Springfield concert goer collapsed last night and later died in the hospital. The man was attending the Life in Color concert at the Shrine Mosque. During the concert, people throw paint on one another. The Greene County Medical Examiners office confirmed the man was in his early twenties, but so far his name has not been released. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Join KPSR Sunday, Sept. 2, for the MDA Show of Strength concert at the Oasis Convention Center in Springfield with the Rockabilly Kings performing at 7pm and the Lennon Cathcart Trio at 8:30pm. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is asking for a $5 donation at the door for that concert. Then at the Branson Landing Sunday Sept. 2, enjoy music from Members Only playing at 5:30pm and Chain Reaction , a Journey tribute band, at 8pm. Tickets are free, but for a $10 donation, you can get VIP seating at the front.

Some KSPR viewers tell us they're out hundreds of dollars Wednesday and the people who promised us just weeks ago they'd fix the problem don't have any answers. Tuesday one of Branson's largest theaters, the Tri Lakes Church and Events Center, was auctioned off to the bank on the steps of the Taney County courthouse. The center was in foreclosure and concert promoters claimed the church, which operated it, wasn't paying them. So two pulled out, canceling seven shows between them. Now people who purchased tickets to those shows want their money back.
