Some really good rainfall for portions of the Ozarks.  The extreme western counties didn't see too much and of course they needed the rain the most. The cold front that produced all of the rain has moved through and that will set the stage for breezy and cooler temperatures today. This cool down will only last a few days.  By this weekend we will see more warm weather.  A strong cold front will move through on Monday night.  This will give us some rain and much cooler temperatures.

It has been a cloudy and rainy day, with steady temperatures. More rain is expected as an area of low pressure lifts out of the southwest and drags a cold front through tomorrow night. Below is a look at the surface map from Tuesday Evening.   Here is a look at the day planner for tomorrow. Highs will climb into the 60's with clouds and rain around.   Some of the best widespread chances for rain will come later into the evening as the cold front sweeps through.

Today will be cooler due to the cold front that swept through yesterday. Highs will be near 50s with breezy northerly winds. Overnight lows dip to 30 degrees. Saturday should be fine for the most part, but a storm system will bring a warm front late in the day, triggering isolated to scattered showers for the evening. The cold front will push through early Sunday bringing more showers and thunderstorms. Some could be locally strong. Monday will be cooler behind this system with highs near 50. Overnight Tuesday features a shot at rain/snow.

Today, we could see an isolated storm or two ahead of a cold front, but the main bulk of the activity will hold off for overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s across the Ozarks with high humidity. The aforementioned cold front is expected to push through Friday early afternoon, sparking widespread showers and thunderstorms. The best chance for rain will be mid morning through late Friday evening. Some of the storms could be strong with damaging winds and quarter-sized hail being the primary threats.

It's Election Day! The forecast starts off rather gloomy and cool, with temps in the 40s. By this afternoon, a cold front will help to push clouds out of the Ozarks, allowing our temps to boost into the low to mid 50s. Expect a decent warm up as high pressure takes over leading into the weekend. However, isolated t'storms cannot be ruled out Saturday, while Sunday features a meaty cold front bring more widespread storms to the area. Some could be strong.   KSPR Meteorologist Lindsey Slater You can follow me on Twitter and *like* my Facebook Page!

Showers and thunderstorms will increase across the Ozarks tonight as a cold front moves our way. The activity will increase especially after midnight.  Most of the activity will not be severe..but some strong winds and hail can't be ruled out.  Much needed rain will soak the region with at least .50" of rain..and even more in some spots.  Temperatures will only climb into the 70s tomorrow with the showers and storms.    The cold front will eventually move through tomorrow...clearing us out just in time for Friday night football.

I hope you were able to get out and enjoy the warm weather!  Lower to middle 60's were common throughout the area. A cold front is moving through tonight but there are no clouds with it.  The winds will shift to the north though.  Lows will be in the upper 20's to lower 30's. It will be cooler on Sunday but the bulk of the cold air will stay just to the north.  It will move in on Sunday night. Lows will be in the teens on Sunday night with wind chills in the single digits.  Highs will struggle to get out of the 20's on Monday.  A cold front will bring some rain on Thursday night.  The better chance of rain will be to the east.  Cooler for next weekend.

Today was almost perfect!  It was great to dry out and warm up a little.  The clouds this morning kept us a little cooler but the warm weather to the west will move in for Tuesday.  It won't be too hot though. The cold front from this weekend is well to our east but now we are watching another cold front to our northwest.  This front will have more cool air than the first.  However, it won't have much moisture to work with so rain chances will be low as it moves through on Wednesday morning.
