BOLIVAR, Mo. -- A joint investigation has led to the arrest of a Bolivar man, accused of sex crimes against a five-year-old girl.
Ira Anthony Strawn, 36, faces first degree sodomy and child molestation charges. Strawn is jailed on $100,000 bond.
A joint investigation between the Child Advocacy Center, Social Services and the Bolivar Police Department led to his arrest. New police chief Mark Webb has made crimes against children a top focus.
"It is a priority of mine. It has been pretty much so since I have been in law enforcement: the vulnerable victims, women, children, domestic violence. They have no one to turn to but the police, and we can't fail them," said Webb.
