SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Gun dealers and buyers are spending time at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds this weekend.

The RK Gun Show kicked off there Saturday. The manager of the show said Satuday's turnout was "amazing." He estimated that at least 10,000 people would be shopping over the weekend of January 19-20, but said the number of attendees could get even higher.

"A lot of law abiding citizens are very concerned about losing some of their rights. It's really had a lot of people coming out to the shows due to that fact," said RK Gun Show manager Rex Kehrli. He said a recent show in St. Louis drew more than 15,000 people.

Kehrli, along with a gun dealer from Niangua, Missouri that we talked to says many people at the show are looking to buy ammunition.

Joseph Preston is from Springfield. He describes himself as a responsible gun owner. Preston says he came to the fairgrounds looking for a possible deal on a firearm, but mainly he's looking for ammo.

"I mainly just shoot for fun... target, skeet. Can't find any ammo to go shoot. Ammo's far and between...scarce," Preston says.

The RK gun show is open between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
