2 Killed in Joplin Friday Morning Crash

Joplin, Mo. - Two people were killed as a result of a single vehicle crash just after 2:00 a.m. Friday, in the area of West 32nd and Ashwood in Joplin.  A release from the Joplin police department says a 2004 Infinity was traveling westbound on 32nd, and occupied by three people at the time of the crash. 

Only one person was wearing their seat belt.  This occupant was transported by ambulance to Freeman West ER was treated and released with minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle and another occupant were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ryan Parker, 35 year old of Joplin, Missouri.  One passenger was identified as David Sage, 40 year old of Joplin, Missouri. They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  The second  passenger of the vehicle was identified as Richard, 34 year old of Joplin, Missouri.  Mr. Tibbets survived the crash.

This crash is still under investigation by the Joplin Police Department Traffic Unit.
