Investigation Underway in Jasper County After Body of Missing Man Turns Up in a Creek

Police say Ronnie Genandt was missing for three weeks

We're following a developing story out of Jasper County.

An investigation is underway after the body of a 33-year-old man was found floating in a creek. The Sheriff's Department says Ronnie Genandt's body was found by a 17-year-old boy who was out squirrel hunting near Turkey Creek Tuesday night. Officials say Genandt has been missing for about three weeks.   

Investigators are considering his death suspicious at this time but say they won't have any more details on how he died until autopsy results come back.
