The man who drove from Utah to Missouri with the body of his ex-girlfriend stashed in the trunk, has pleaded guilty to kidnapping.

After the plea, a federal judge immediately ordered 51 year old Michael Doyel to serve 30 years in prison. Doyel's plea agreement also requires him to plead guilty to first-degree murder in Utah state court. That hearing is set for January sixth.

Doyel kidnapped and killed his former girlfriend Deborah Jones in April 2008. Her body was found stuffed in a storage container in Doyel's car outside a Branson motel.
