Heavy Rain Then Light Snow

December 19, 2011|Weather Blog | KSPR Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lighty

SPRINGFIELD, MO — Rain showers continue to make their way into the Ozarks. Some of the rain has been heavy at times. Rain will continue tonight, and taper off by tomorrow morning.

Some rainfall amounts could make it to nearly 2" in some spots, as shown below. This is the forecast rainfall amounts.

Late Tuesday night into Wednesday a LIGHT dusting of snow will be possible across our northern counties. This model run below shows the very light nature of the snow. I don't expect anything more than an 1", IF THAT.

Another shot of some rain or snow will be possible on Friday.
