Man Who Pleaded Guilty To Branson Motel Stabbing Will Be Sentenced Next Week

A  Puerto Rican man has pleaded guilty in Taney County to a stabbing incident in Branson this year.

Twenty-seven year old Zoan Delgrado-Melendez entered the plea in Taney County court to an amended charge of second-degree assault.  He was initially charged last June following the incident at the Polar Bear Inn on Arlene Street.  Another man from Puerto Rico was wounded in the stabbing. The victim, 31 year old Thomas Bonilla, was treated at a Springfield hospital.

Delgrado-Melendez will be sentenced December 15th.
