JOPLIN, Mo. — The big reveal happened this morning on Good Morning America.
KSPR talked to Ty Pennington the host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and asked him what about the experience of building seven homes in seven days for families devastated by the May 22nd tornado in Joplin, MO.
“This is the biggest thing we’ve ever pulled off. I mean seriously, seven homes for seven families in seven days, who would have even guessed it was possible. But, this has been incredible to see so many people from all around the country, all around the world coming together. Even people from Joplin who’ve lost everything put on blue T-Shirts and volunteer to make this happen. It’s just awesome to see the whole rebuilding process happen. It really is and I think this is just the beginning.” Says Ty Pennington.
“I mean the footage we all saw in the news and the media of complete devastation and destruction and now to this. It’s literally like rising up from the ashes in many ways. It’s incredible to see and it’s also incredible to see how many people really are here supporting this entire project. So yeah, it’s something we can be proud of for a long time.” Says Ty Pennington.
