SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Greene County, MO prosecutors have filed a 1st degree murder charge against Mohamed Dawod of Glendale, Arizona in connection to the Thursday afternoon shooting, at a Springfield, MO Greyhound bus station.
The victim has been identified as 32 year old Justin M. Hall of Mount Vernon, OH.
The shooting happened at 2425 E. Kearney, just east of Glenstone Avenue around 6 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses say Dawod was quiet on the bus and they didn't hear anything take place on the bus, that would have led to the shooting. Police say both men were on the bus that had a scheduled stop in Springfield. Police have not released a motive, but interviewed numerous witnesses on the bus and in the terminal. One witness who spoke to KSPR News captured the aftermath of the shooting on video through his phone. A Greyhound spokesperson says the terminal is still accepting arriving buses and allowing buses to leave for other destinations. The only bus that has been delayed is the bus that carried the suspects and the victim in the shooting.
