Springfield Public Schools' Clothing and Shoe Bank Open

SPRINGFIELD, Mo — Springfield Public School kids who qualify can get free new and gently used clothes and shoes from the Springfield Council of PTAs and the Kiwanis Club of Ozark Empire.

The Clothing Bank opens Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Springfield Public School students who qualify for free and reduced lunches can get clothes, new socks, shoes and underwear.

Students have to get a voucher from their school before visiting the Clothing Bank. A separate voucher is required to get shoes.

Here's the outlook for the upcoming school year: Beginning Aug. 31, the Clothing Bank will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday that school is in session, except the first Wednesday of the month.

It will be closed in December and May. The Shoe Bank operates the same days as the Clothing Bank, but closes between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The clothing and shoe distribution center is located behind Bailey Alternative School, 501 W. Central St.
