BRANSON, Mo. — MoDOT crews will begin to transform a busy intersection in Branson into a Diverging Diamond Interchange.
The reconstruction kicks off May 16 at the interchange aof Route 248 and Route 65.
The project is designed to improve safety and relieve congestion at the interchange.
The $5 million dollar project, a partnership with the city of Branson, will convert the interchange into a diverging diamond, widen the Route 248 bridge and repair the existing bridge deck and widen the ramps leading off of and onto Route 65.
Over the next couple of weeks, contractor crews will move in equipment and begin clearing trees and brush around the interchange.
No impacts to traffic are expected until after the Memorial Day weekend
