SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Going green has never been more popular.

And there's plenty of evidence of that in North Springfield.

Hundreds of farms from across the state are gathering at the Ramada-Oasis Conference Center for an organic association conference.

People are learning about a variety of back-to-the-earth topics -- from making cheese to controlling pests organically.

"If you want to know how to do herbology and been interested in growing your herbs what can you do with it to make vinaigrettes and make your own essences you can come and learn how to do that have all the knowledge so we've got exciting stuff going on." says Sue Baird of the Missouri Organic Association.

The conference continues through Saturday at the Ramada-Oasis on North Glenstone.
