Developer Ready to Reveal Plans for Old Hickory Hills School

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Nixa developer Paul Larino will meet with the media later Thursday morning to lay out his vision for the old Hickory Hills School in East Springfield.

He bought the building and land from the Springfield School District back in march for $4.4 million.

Larino, who's already developed a couple of retail spaces in Springfield, says the new project will be called Hickory Hills Marketplace.

New commercial development will be subject of Dec. 9 news conference

Details about the development of Hickory Hills Marketplace will be presented during a news conference at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at 3429 E. Chestnut Expressway.

Larino Properties is working with a number of public and private entities to build a commercial development and major intersection improvements just east of Highway 65 at Eastgate Avenue and Chestnut Expressway.

Representatives from Larino Properties, Missouri Department of Transportation, City of Springfield, Greene County, Springfield Public Schools and High Street Baptist Church will participate in the news conference
